ARCATA, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay women's track & field team had multiple top 10 finishes at the Humboldt Invitational on Saturday, March 24 in the Redwood Bowl.
Senior
Cecilia Carretero (Modesto Calif.) paced the Pioneers in the 1500m finishing 5th with a time of 4:47.58. Sophomore
Megan Satterfield (Granada Hills, Calif.) and
Angelina Ronquillo (Bakersfield, Calif.) placed 7th and 8th in the 1500m event with times of 4:57.20 and 4:57.21.
Freshman
Claire Fisher (Temecula, Calif.) followed with an 11th place finish at a time of 5:02.44 and senior
Katherine Embody (Castro Valley, Calif.) rounded out the CSUEB participation crossing the finish line at 5:16.67 good for 17th place.
Sophomore
Andrea Romero (Delano, Calif.) logged another top 10 finish for the Pioneers in the 800m event, finishing 7th with a time of 2:27.62. Sophomore
Alondra Castro Ortiz (Pomona, Calif.) placed 16th in the 800m in a time of 2:36.91.
Freshman
Jodi Go (Hilo, Hawaii) was the lone East Bay runner to compete in the 5000m event registering a 2nd place finish with a time of 21:05.18.
The Pioneers will compete in the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on March 30-31 at Chabot College Track in Hayward.
