ARCATA, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay men's track and field team put together stellar performances at the Humboldt Invitational on Saturday afternoon, March 24 at the Redwood Bowl.
Sophomore
Pedro Cruz (Arvin, Calif.) and junior
Esteban Leon (Oxnard, Calif.) notched back-to-back 4th and 5th place finishes in the 1500m event with times of 4:04.87 and 4:06.47.
Senior
Zach Kanlong (Twentynine Palms, Calif.) recorded a 13th place finish in the 1500m in a time of 4:16.03 followed by freshman
Luke Calubayan (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) who came in 15th with a time of 4:17.63.
Sophomore
Luke Laehy (Temecula, Calif.) and junior
Ronaldo Flores (Port Hueneme, Calif.) rounded out the Pioneers in the 1500m event placing 20th and 21st with times 4:27.14 and 4:30.23.
Junior
Israel Sotelo (Porterville, Calif.) recorded a top 5 finish in the 800m with a time of 2:00.16 while sophomore
Jeremy Shaw finished 8th in the 800m in a time of 2:03.81.
East Bay will participate in the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on March 30-31 at Chabot College Track in Hayward.
