LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The Cal State East Bay track and field team shined bright at the Occidental College Distance Spring Break Classic in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 10.
 
Only participating in the 5000m event, the Pioneers were led by Esteban Leon (Oxnard, Calif.) who recorded a top 40 finish with a time of 15:03.05. Pedro Cruz (Arvin, Calif.) clocked a time of 15:23.83 to finish 76th. Luke Laehy (Temecula, Calif.) rounded out the East Bay competitors with a time of 16:25.94.
 
Cal State East Bay will return to action March 17 when they participate in the Sacramento State Hornet Invitational at Hornet Stadium.
