VALLEJO, Calif. -- The Cal State East Bay women's golf team finished in 10th place at their home tournament, the 2016 Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout. CSUEB shot rounds of 319 (+31) and 314 (+26) for a total score of 633 (+57) at the par-72 Hiddenbrooke Golf Club.

Senior Melissa Hosman and sophomore Taylor Wyss led the way for the Pioneers, finishing tied for 34th in the overall field of 73 with matching totals of 157 (+13).

East Bay topped Cal State Monterey Bay, Condordia-Portland, and Holy Names in the 13-team event. Sonoma State captured the team championship at 592 (+16), followed by Western Washington in second place at 599 (+23).
