ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- Cal State East Bay senior
Linda Brown finished with a share of 13th place at the 2015 NCAA West Super Regionals after shooting 76 (+4) on Wednesday in the tournament's final round.
Brown finished the 54-hole event at 224 (+8), four strokes behind the individual champions. For the week, she posted scores of 73, 75, and 76 at Foxtail Golf Club, Sonoma State's home course.
"I was striking the ball really well this week, and I finished on a high note, but it just wasn't quite good enough to win" said Brown.
Her third round was highlighted by three birdies, but her score wasn't enough for Brown to repeat as West Super Regional champion, a title she claimed in 2014.
The San Leandro native finished her career with seven individual tournament championships and All-American honors in 2013-14. She placed 23rd at last year's NCAA National Championships and closed out the 2014-15 season ranked as the No. 45 golfer in the nation.
"Being a part of this team and the relationships I've developed with my teammates is definitely what I will most most," added Brown, reflecting on her remarkable career. "It has been an amazing experience."
