SAN MATEO, Calif. – The Cal State East Bay men's track team turned in a solid performance competing at the College of San Mateo Mini-Meet on Friday afternoon.
Will Weekes led the way for the Pioneers with a fourth place effort in the 800 meters. Weekes covered the half mile in 1:57.04.

Daniel Damian turned in a personal best time of 2:06.52 to take 15th in the 800 meters. Damian doubled in the 1500 meters, claiming fifth place in 4:16.27. "I felt that Daniel ran two good races today." Jones said.
Austin Brown ran a time of 54.14 to claim seventh place in the 400 meters.
The Pioneers had three competitors in the 100 meters. Phillip Cuevas claimed 16th place with a time of 11.39.
Anthony Gaines (11.64) finished 22nd, while Michael Manalastas was 30th in 12.76. Manalastas was also timed in 26.50 to finish 31st in the 200 meters.
Alejandro Acosta posted a time of 1:06.65 to take eighth place in the 400 meter hurdles. Both the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 Pioneer relay teams finished fifth in their respective races.
