DAVIS, Calif.
– Lauren McGlory became the top-ranked triple jumper in Division II following a convincing victory at the Aggie Open, hosted by UC Davis, on Saturday. McGlory, who set a NCAA provisional mark last week, captured the triple jump with a leap of 40'7.75, two feet better than runner-up Catherine Li from UC Davis.

McGlory's winning mark is the third best in Cal State East Bay women's track history and the longest by an NCAA Division II jumper this season. A former prep standout from James Logan High School, the senior has distinguished herself as the clear favorite in the CCAA.

"Lauren's making tremendous progress, and her jump today put her No. 1 in the country," Pioneer head coach Ralph Jones said. "Her mark would have placed eighth at today's indoor national championship."
