Box Score HAYWARD, Calif. – Sunday afternoon marked the final time 13 Cal State East Bay seniors would play a collegiate contest inside Pioneer Stadium. The Pioneers fell 4-0 to No. 17 nationally ranked Golden Eagles to close out their home schedule for the 2014 campaign.

A scoreless tie was ended as Cal State L.A. (13-2-0, 9-1-0 CCAA) junior Herbert Biste scored in the 36th minute. Two minutes later Cal State East Bay was not only down a goal, but playing with only 10 men following a red card issued inside the 18-yard box of the Golden Eagles.
"Cal State L.A. is too good to play against with only 10 men for more than 60 minutes. The guys did the best they could playing shorthanded," said East Bay Head Coach
Andy Cumbo. "I thought we started the game well and were eager to compete."
The Golden Eagles took advantage as Andre Bissmark scored from close range in the 48th and 60th minutes. Teammate Marvin Iskra scored a near identical looking goal to Bissmark's second of the match in the 68th minute to cap the scoring.
CSULA goalkeeper Mike Beigarten made four saves including a penalty kick save in the final minute against Guerra.
Adrian Topete made three saves in the defeat.
Cal State L.A. is now tied with Cal Poly Pomona (15-1-1, 9-1-0 CCAA) in the California Collegiate Athletic Association standings with one match remaining after the Broncos suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday. The two teams meet each other on the final day of the regular season later this week.
Cal State East Bay (4-8-5, 0-6-4 CCAA) will travel to Cal State Stanislaus (6-7-3, 4-4-2 CCAA) on Thursday, Oct. 30, in the regular season finale.
