The Seawolves have won nine straight to open the year and the Otters are coming off a victory over then nationally ranked No. 3 Cal State Stanislaus.
"We are preparing to play two of the top teams in our conference with both coming off a very successful weekend. We need to be sharp this weekend and be able to execute," said East Bay Head Coach

Cal State East Bay vs. #14 Sonoma State (Match Notes)Sonoma State (9-0-0, 2-0-0 CCAA) opened the season with six straight shutout victories. The Seawolves have trailed for a total of three minutes out of a possible 828 minutes, 9 seconds.
Eight different players have combined to score the team's 25 goals this season. Lauren Curtin, a 2013 NSCAA All-America First Team selection, leads the team with seven goals. She is one of seven different SSU players to have netted at least one game-winning goal thus far in 2014.
East Bay has its own 1-2 scoring threat of
Megan Ravenscroft and
Ariana Gordon. The pair has combined to net 11 of the team's 17 goals and provided all four of the team's game-winning scores. Ravenscroft is tied with Curtin for second in the California Collegiate Athletic Association with seven goals.
The Pioneers will look to turn the tide of this series as the Seawolves are winners of the past six meetings dating back to the 2011 season. Sonoma State is unbeaten (5-0-0) inside Pioneer Stadium against Cal State East Bay since the Pioneers joined the CCAA in 2009.
Cal State East Bay vs. Cal State Monterey Bay (Match Notes)Cal State Monterey Bay (4-3-0, 1-1-0 CCAA) is one of six teams, along with Cal State East Bay (4-3-2, 1-1-0 CCAA) to have split its opening weekend league matches. The Otters arguably had the toughest schedule playing back-to-back nationally ranked squads.
CSUMB was the first team this season to take a lead on Sonoma State before dropping a 3-2 decision. The Otters then stunned Cal State Stanislaus earning a 1-0 win to close out the weekend.
It has been feast or famine for the Otters defense this season. All four of their wins have come in shutout fashion including three of the past four matches. Monterey Bay has allowed multiple goals in each of its three losses this season with two coming against nationally ranked Sonoma State.
Kristen Womack scored the game-winner against Stanislaus and is tied for the team lead with Regan Porteous with three goals this season.
Cal State East Bay has dropped 1-0 decisions to Cal State Monterey Bay in each of the previous three meetings. Last season it was current Otter teammates Jami Murray and Womack scoring the game-winning goals.
