TURLOCK, Calif. - The Pioneer women's track team turned in a good performance at the Kim Duyst Invitational on Saturday.
Celina Vera recorded a personal best time of 18:44.02 to be the first collegiate runner to finish in the Second Heat of the 5000 meters.
Megan Osten finished eighth in 20:09.37, while
Amanda McNabb took 13th place honors with a time of 21:07.69.
Chelsea Imgram (14.45) came within four seconds of a personal best to finish second in the Fourth Heat of the 100 meters.
Imani Heath was eighth in a time of 2:22.64 in the First Heat of the 800 meters.
“The women have improved as a group,” Pioneer Head Coach
Ralph Jones said. “Today, we had solid performances across the board.”
The Pioneers will host San Jose State and Castro Valley Youth Track and Field Club for time trials at Pioneer Stadium on Mar. 9.
