SACRAMENTO, Calif. –
The Pioneer women's track team had three runners compete at the Sacramento State Invitational on Saturday.

Chelsea Ingram competed in the 100 and 200 meters for the Pioneers. Ingram posted a PR time of 14.11 to place 17th among all four-year collegiate runners and 40th overall in the 100 meters. She defeated three UOP runners.

In the 200 meters, Ingram finished 26th among all four-year collegiate competitors and 53rd overall in 29.98.

“Chelsea is putting things together,” Pioneer Head Coach Ralph Jones said. “She really executed the first part of the 100 meters.”

Imani Heath ran the 800 meters posting a time of 2:24.99. Heath was the 11th fastest four-year collegiate runner and placed 13 out of 29 total runners. She beat competitors from CCAA rivals Chico State and San Francisco as well as runners from UC Davis and UOP. Shatahlai Wright was 19th among all four-year collegiate runners and 27th overall with a time of 2:44.66.

“Shatahlai ran a spirited race and finished strong,” Jones said.

The three Pioneer runners gained a wealth of experience competing in the Sacramento State Invitational.

“This was a good experience, not only for our runners, but for the coaching staff,” Jones said. “Facing all kinds of competition was a good learning experience for our three runners.”
