Ralph Jones said. “I was proud of every athlete who competed, they all stood out, and those who were present for the meet were treated to some great performances from our Pioneer women's team.”
The Pioneer Home Meet concluded a memorable day in Cal State East Bay Track history.
“For the local track community, it was a great event, as the Castro Valley Youth Club participated and were able to run some races in the meet allowing parents to see their elementary and middle school aged children compete on a college campus,” Jones said. "It was a great environment and excellent experience for our athletes and the young athletes from the youth club who were able to participate. I am hopeful that this is the first of many future events like this."
