HAYWARD, Calif. --- The Cal State East Bay volleyball team returns home this weekend after its most successful road trip of the season to host a pair of matches at Pioneer Gym. The Pioneers (9-14, 5-10 CCAA) will be looking to build off a two-match winning streak and improve their home record, which stands at 7-4. The team welcomes in Cal State L.A. on Friday night and Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday night, with both matches slated for 7 p.m.

East Bay will be looking to avenge a 3-0 loss at CSULA earlier in the season, while the Golden Eagles are hoping to hang onto fourth place in the CCAA and the postseason berth that goes along with it. East Bay will also be looking for payback against Dominguez Hills, which picked up its only conference victory of the season against the Pioneers on Oct. 4.

WEEKEND RECAP
The Pioneers went to Humboldt State on Halloween night last week and picked up their first road win of 2013. They edged out the Jacks by two points in each of the first two sets before putting the match away with a 25-16 victory in the fourth game. Amber Hall had 13 kills to lead East Bay, which out-hit Humboldt .213 to .158.

Two nights later, the Pioneers played one of their best overall matches of the season, sweeping Cal Poly Pomona 3-0. CSUEB out-hit the Bronocs .250 to .140 and held them to 35 kills. Samantha Bruno hit .429 with a team-best 12 kills, Veronica Sanchez racked up 27 digs in just three sets, and setter Ashia Joseph posted a double-double with 37 assists and 10 scoops.
