ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - With the CCAA Tournament presented by Under Armour starting this week, the 2025 All-CCAA Volleyball honors were announced on Tuesday. From Cal State East Bay, four Pioneers received accolades, led by the CCAA Libero of the Year,
Kale'a Kuamo'o. Kuamo'o and
Barakat Adekola were named All-CCAA First Team,
Fane Paua was named to the All-CCAA Second Team and with Honorable Mention was
Pi'ilani Carvalho.
Kale'a Kuamo'o - Jr. - L - Keaukaha, Hawaii
CCAA Libero of the Year, All-CCAA First Team
Kuamo'o led the conference in digs with 465 in 2025, and averaged 4.70 per set. Twice during the regular season, she was named FloCollege/CCAA Defensive Player of the Week. Her season-high 27 digs came in the regular season finale on November 15 at Cal Poly Humboldt. From behind the baseline, her 41 service aces were second most in the conference
Barakat Adekola - Jr. - OH - Aurora, Illinois
All-CCAA First Team
Adekola carried a .181 attack percentage and at 3.14 kills per set, was ninth in the CCAA. She reached a double-double in 14 matches. On October 18, Adekola had 20 kills and 20 digs vs. UC Merced.
Fane Paua - Sr. - MB - Oakland, California
All-CCAA Second Team
The four-year Pioneer was a force at the net, with the conference's sixth highest attack percentage (.303) and third most total blocks (93). With 249 total blocks in her career, she has the fifth most in program history.
Pi'ilani Carvalho - Jr. - S - O'ahu, Hawaii
All-CCAA Honorable Mention
Carvalho's 820 assists demonstrated her command of the Pioneer passing game, which was third most in the conference, averaging 8.28 per set. She also had 45 kills as a setter. Carvalho's 18.36 career assists places her eighth on the record board in program history.
The Pioneers are gearing up for the 2025 CCAA Tournament presented by Under Armour, starting this coming Thursday. East Bay takes on Cal State LA in the opening round in Turlock with a 3 p.m. opening serve from Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena.
