HAYWARD, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's soccer will conclude the 2013 season this weekend with a pair of California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) contests. Seniors Shannon Fontes, Donna Williams, and Katie Brawley will play in the final home game of their collegiate careers on Friday, Nov. 1, against Sonoma State.

The Pioneers end their season with back-to-back nationally ranked opponents. East Bay will host No. 18 Sonoma State at Pioneer Stadium on Friday, and hit the road for its season finale on Sunday to take on No. 6 Cal State Stanislaus.

Cal State East Bay (4-10-2, 4-8-2 CCAA) can jump into third place in the CCAA North Division standings with a pair of weekend wins and some help from San Francisco State and Cal State Monterey Bay. However the Pioneers will need to beat the CCAA's top two squads to have a shot.

Cal State East Bay vs. #18 Sonoma State - (Friday, Nov. 1)
Sonoma State (10-3-3, 8-3-3 CCAA) has already clinched a berth into the CCAA Postseason Tournament with 27 points. The Seawolves enter the weekend having had their four match unbeaten streak (3-0-1) snapped by undefeated Cal State Stanislaus.

SSU defeated CSUEB 2-0 in the team's original matchup on Sept. 22. Alicia Mertz scored the game-winner in the first half, and Cara Curtin put the game away with a score in the final 10 minutes of regulation.

Cal State East Bay at #6 Cal State Stanislaus – (Sunday, Nov. 3)
The unbeaten Warriors are riding a season-long unbeaten streak of 16 games into the weekend. Stanislaus will first host Humboldt State on Friday before the Pioneers come into Turlock on Sunday in the regular season finale.

Karanee Demery scored twice as the Warriors escaped Hayward with a 2-1 victory on Friday, Oct. 25. The Pioneers will attempt to do what no other team has been able to accomplish this season in earning a point against Stanislaus at Warrior Stadium. Cal State Stanislaus (14-0-2, 12-0-2 CCAA) is 9-0-0 at its home field this season.
