ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Pioneer women's golf team concluded the 2011 spring season with a second place performance at the Sonoma State Women's Spring Invitational on April 11-12.

Competing in a four-team field at the Fountaingrove Country Club in Rohnert Park, the Pioneers finished with a two-round score of 83—over par-659. Sonoma State won the invitational with a 44-over par-620.

Deanna Tyndall led the Pioneers and tied with one other golfer in fourth place. Tyndall shot a 15-over 159 for the invitational.

Andrea Castellanos and Christina Walker finished seventh and eighth respectively. Castellanos was 20-over 164 while Walker fired a 22-over 166.

Katie Devine finished in 11th with a 28-over 172 while Alicia Haness shot a 33-over 177 to finish in 14th.
