VALLEJO, Calif. - The Pioneer women's golf team finished fifth at the Pioneer Shootout on March 5-6. The two-day tournament, played at the Hiddenbrooke Golf Course in Vallejo, consisted of eight teams.

The Pioneers finished with a 104-over par-680, one stroke better than CCAA opponent Chico State. Sonoma State captured the Pioneer Shootout with a 47-over par-623.

Deanna Tyndall led the Pioneers with an eighth place finish. Tyndall shot an 11-over par-155 for the two rounds. She fired a 2-over par-74 in the final round.

Andrea Castellanos placed 17th with a 23-over par-167. Katie Devine tied with one other golfer in 35th with a 36-over par-180.

Alicia Haness shot a 42-over par-186 to finish in 37th place. Christina Walker followed in 38th place with a 43-over par-187.
