Pioneers Place Seventh at Chico State Invitational

CHICO, Calif. - The Pioneer women's golf team ended up in seventh place at the InterWest Chico State Invitational held on March 21-22. The seven team tournament was played at the Canyon Oaks Country Club in Chico.

East Bay finished with a two-round score of 707. Grand Canyon University shot a two-round score of 635 to take the tournament.

Andrea Castellanos tied with two other golfers in 19th place. Castellanos finished with a two round score of 23-over par-167.

Deanna Tyndall and Christina Walker placed 32nd and 33rd respectively. Tyndall was 31- over par while Walker finished at 36-over par for the tournament.

Alicia Haness shot 41-over par to finish tied for 39th place.

Katie Devine rounded out the Pioneers' performance with a 45th place finish.
