SAN MARCOS, Calif. - The Pioneer women's golf team finished third out of eight teams at the Lady Cougar Invitational hosted by Cal State San Marcos on Feb. 28-Mar. 1.

East Bay finished with a two-round score 89-over par-665, nine strokes behind Invitational champion CSU-San Marcos.

The Pioneers' Andrea Castellanos placed second overall for individual honors with a two-round score of 18-over par-162. Castellanos fired an 8-over par-80 in the first round.

Deanna Tyndall, who shot an 80 in the second round, finished in a three-way tie for fifth at 21-over par.
Teammate Katie Devine also tied for fifth place.

Alicia Haness fired a 29-over par-173 to earn 16th place honors.

Christina Walker tied with one other golfer in 20th place.
