Samantha Bruno is Cal State East Bay's Female Co-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 3-9. The senior posted 14 kills and led the team with a .273 hitting percentage in a pair of road defeats this past weekend. She had eight kills in a three-set loss to first-place Sonoma Satte last Friday, and followed that up with six kills and .313 attack percentage in a loss to SF State on Saturday. Bruno is second on the team and ranks top-20 in the CCAA with 2.66 kills per set. For her four-year career, she's the program's all-time leader in total blocks (256) and ranks eighth all-time in kills (709).
