Junior Murphy Wimer helped lead the Pioneer swimming team to a program-best ninth-place finish at the 2011 PCSC Championships last week. The San Diego native set four program records at championships, collecting three medals, including a second-place showing in the 200 free.

Wimer not only placed in the top three in the 200 free, 200 back and 500 free, but also helped East Bay finish fifth in the 800 free relay on day one, an eight-place improvement from 2010. Wimer set a new program record for her leg in the 800 free relay and in helping the Pioneers take fifth in the 400 medley relay on day four.
