AS A RS JUNIOR (2017): Used a medical redshirt. 

AS A JUNIOR (2016): Played in 48 games making 42 starts and a .362 batting average, good for second on the team...Finished season with a .453 on-base percentage after registering 55 hits, including three doubles and four triples to go along with 34 runs scored, 24 RBI and 66 total bases...Only struck out 11 times compiling a .434 slugging percentage. 

PREVIOUS COLLEGE: Attended and played the past two years at San Diego City College…Made first team, all-conference in 2014 & 2015…In 2014, he batted .432, with a .622 slugging percentage, and two home runs…In 2015, he batted .341 with 19 stolen base.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from San Diego High School in 2012…Played varsity baseball for two years...Made first team, all-league his junior year and was named team MVP after batting .447 with two home runs and 19 stolen bases…Was named second team, all-league his senior year after batting .301.

PERSONAL: The son of Diana Gilbert and Ronnie Jones…Has three siblings: Juan Gilbert (31), Kierra Gilbert (29), and Luther Jones (26)…Favorite athlete is Jackie Robinson…Likes to eat pizza, Mexican food, and BBQ ribs…Favorite movies include: The Waterboy, John Wick, and 42…Enjoys watching ESPN and Impractical Jokers.
