Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2012): Utilized a medical redshirt after undergoing elbow surgery. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): Red-shirted as a sophomore. 

AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Appeared in eight games, with two starts…Recorded 12 strikeouts in 11 innings…Picked up lone win of the season against Academy of Art by hurling five shutout innings with a season-high six strikeouts.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: A four-year pitcher at Lancaster High School…Named Golden League Pitcher of the Year and second-team All-CIF Southern section as a senior…Helped Lancaster High School capture the Golden League Championship and reach the CIF Semifinal as a senior… A two-year pitcher for the Southern California Bombers and a one-year hurler for the Ventura D-Rays…Also played one season at wide receiver and defensive back for the Eagles.

PERSONAL: A communications major… Has one older sister, Jen (28) and one older brother, Matt (28)… Likes to have fun and hang out with friends… Favorite athletes is Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg… Favorite food is sushi and Italian… Lists “Dumb and Dumber” as his favorite movie… Favorite TV show is "Entourage"...
