HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay softball team placed three student-athletes on the 2026 CCAA All-Tournament Team, highlighted by Jasmyn Morales being named the tournament's Most Valuable Player following a dominant weekend at Pioneer Field.
Morales led the Pioneers offensively, hitting .600 (6-for-10) with three home runs, three RBIs, four runs scored, and four walks across four games. She opened the tournament with a 2-for-3 performance that included a game-tying home run in the seventh inning against Cal Poly Humboldt. Morales added two hits and reached base four times in a win over Cal State San Marcos before delivering a standout performance in the championship game, going 2-for-3 with two home runs and two RBIs to lead East Bay to the title.
Rylee Gomez also earned All-Tournament Team honors after batting .615 (8-for-13) with two home runs and four RBIs. Gomez recorded three multi-hit performances during the tournament, highlighted by a 3-for-4 effort with a home run and two RBIs in a shutout victory over Cal State San Marcos. She added two hits in both the semifinal and championship contests, finishing as one of the Pioneers' most consistent offensive contributors.
Marissa Quintero anchored the Pioneers in the circle, making four appearances and tossing 21.0 innings during the tournament. She recorded two complete games, including a shutout against Cal State San Marcos in which she allowed seven hits and struck out six. Quintero closed the tournament with a complete-game victory in the championship, surrendering just one run to secure the CCAA title.
As a team, Cal State East Bay went 3-1 during the tournament, highlighted by a 7-6 comeback win over Cal Poly Humboldt and a 5-1 victory over Cal State San Marcos in the championship game.
The trio's recognition reflects East Bay's strong performance throughout the weekend and the program's continued success on the conference stage.
