This coming week of action for the Pioneers includes the home opener for softball on Wednesday and a weekend tournament in Tracy, the final week of regular season action for each basketball team, a home baseball series and men's golf returning to Boulder Creek for the second time this season.

In a rematch from last year's NCAA Division II West Regional, the Golden Eagles and Pioneers meet again as nationally ranked opponents.

East Bay returns to action three days later for the West Region Crossover Tournament, where the Pioneers take on three GNAC opponents. Against Western Washington and Saint Martin's, it will be rematches from earlier this season

The Pioneers winning last Saturday allowed them to keep pace in reach of the final CCAA Women's Basketball Tournament spot. They enter Thursday on the outside looking in, as they would need to win both remaining games and get help elsewhere in the CCAA. Saturday will be Senior Night honoring the Pioneers playing in their final home game at Cal State East Bay.

The No. 2 Pioneers remain unbeaten and will look for a strong finish to the regular season before taking their journey into the CCAA Basketball Tournament. During the pair of last week's road wins, Tyree Campbell joined the Pioneer 1,000 point club early in Saturday's win.

The Pioneers finished with a fourth place tie to open the 2026 spring season at the DII Visit Stockton Invite, with much of the success coming from the steady performance by Oscar Blomqvist, who placed second on the leaderboard, one stroke back of the medalist.
