HAYWARD, Calif. — As a new academic year begins, Cal State East Bay Athletics is preparing to welcome student-athletes, alumni, fans, and the community back to campus for what promises to be an exciting and memorable fall season.

With championship aspirations across multiple programs, a continued commitment to academic excellence, and growing momentum surrounding Pioneer Athletics, the fall season represents another opportunity to showcase the talent, determination, and pride that define Cal State East Bay.

"Our coaches, student-athletes, and staff have invested countless hours preparing for this moment," said Allison Kern, Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics. "There is an incredible energy surrounding Pioneer Athletics as we begin a new year. We are excited to watch our student-athletes compete at a high level while representing our university with integrity, passion, and purpose. We invite our alumni, families, students, and the Hayward community to join us this fall and experience the excitement of Pioneer Athletics firsthand." 

The Pioneers enter the season following one of the most successful years in department history, highlighted by continued competitive success, record-setting engagement, facility enhancements, and unprecedented support from alumni and community partners. The department continues to build on its "Be Bold" philosophy while creating meaningful experiences for student-athletes both on and off the field. 

This fall, Cal State East Bay's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, golf, swimming, and cross country programs will take center stage, providing fans with numerous opportunities to cheer on the Pioneers throughout the season. Beyond competition, the department remains committed to developing leaders through academic achievement, community engagement, and personal growth.

"We're building something special together," Kern added. "Every event is an opportunity to celebrate our student-athletes and create an unforgettable game-day atmosphere. We hope our campus and community will be loud, proud, and ready to support the Pioneers all season long."
