HAYWARD, Calif. — Cal State East Bay has named Nick Patterson its new Associate Director of Athletics Operations, Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Allison Kern announced.
Patterson joins the Pioneers from the University of Jamestown, where he served as Assistant Athletic Director for Operations. In his new role, Patterson will help oversee the department's internal operations, event administration and day-to-day logistics while supporting initiatives designed to enhance the student-athlete experience and advance the strategic priorities of Pioneer Athletics.

"He brings valuable experience in athletic operations, event management and departmental administration, along with a clear commitment to serving student-athletes, coaches and staff. His leadership and collaborative approach will be tremendous assets as we continue building momentum across Pioneer Athletics."
Before joining the University of Jamestown in 2024, Patterson served as Ticket Operations Coordinator at the University of Central Missouri. In that position, he oversaw athletic ticketing and game-day operations, implemented and directed the department's athletic internship program, collaborated with sponsors and donors, and supported the department's daily operations.

Patterson earned both of his degrees from Baker University. He holds a bachelor's degree in sports administration with minors in business and psychology, as well as a Master of Science in sports marketing. While completing his graduate studies, he served as a graduate assistant to the athletic director.
A former Baker student-athlete, Patterson was a member of a track and field program that won six conference championships. He also qualified for the NAIA National Championships in the javelin during his senior season.
