KANSAS CITY, Mo. - As the win count goes up for Cal State East Bay men's basketball, so does the Pioneers' national ranking. This week's NABC Division II rankings were released on Tuesday, and East Bay climbed to it's highest ranking in program history  - No. 7.

After a pair of CCAA victories late last week, the Pioneers are still undefeated at 14-0 and 8-0 in conference play. Last Thursday saw the Pioneers be battle tested in a narrow 73-71 win over Chico State. Two nights later, East Bay routed Cal Poly Humboldt, 95-53 to go to 14-0 overall. 

Additionally with the wins, Cal State East Bay head coach Bryan Rooney was named HoopDirt.com Coach of the Week presented by Just Play Solutions for NCAA Division II. 

The Pioneers have a pair of CCAA road games this week as they look to stay unbeaten. Thursday will be the first ever CCAA matchup between East Bay and UC Merced, with a road tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the No. 7 Pioneers take on Stanislaus State at 3 p.m. in Turlock.
