HAYWARD, Calif. — Cal State East Bay women's swimming continued its early-season surge with a pair of standout performances earning Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference (PCSC) weekly honors. Kylie Beaudet was named PCSC Female Swimmer of the Week, while Malana Kollath earned PCSC Female Freshman of the Week after impressive showings against Fresno State and Fresno Pacific. 
 
Beaudet turned in some of the fastest times in NCAA Division II this season. The senior standout placed second in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:23.72, which currently ranks 5th nationally in Division II and 1st in the PCSC. She followed that up with a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.22), also the top mark in the conference this season. Beaudet capped her weekend just off her personal best in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.53), showcasing the form and consistency that have made her one of the Pioneers' most reliable leaders.
 
Kollath also turned heads with a record-breaking weekend. She claimed victory in the 1000-yard freestyle, clocking 10:14.13 to set a new school record in the event, breaking a mark that had stood for five years. Her performance currently ranks 6th in NCAA Division II this season. Kollath added a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.33), the second-fastest time in the PCSC and 9th nationally, and placed sixth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:33.21), which stands 4th in the conference.
 
This marks the second time this season the Pioneers have swept the PCSC swimming awards with Lexi Fajardo and Maggie Clemens winning two weeks ago.
