11/23/2025 11:22:00 PM

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. - The 2025 fall season wrapped up for the No. 12 Cal State East Bay women's swimming team with second place finish in points among the 15 teams competing in the Winter Collegiate Invitational. During the three day meet at ELAC Swim Stadium, new Pioneer records were set and NCAA 'B' Standards were met.

Perhaps the most notable performer of the meet for East Bay was Molana Kollath, who set two new program records in separate distance events.
  • Kollath finished second in the 500 yard freestyle, but her time of four minutes, 56.27 seconds set a Pioneer record and NCAA 'B' standard, breaking a mark held for more than five years, previously by Leah Robinson.
  • In the 1,650 yard freestyle, Kollath also claimed a new program record time of 17:04.37, breaking a five year old best previously held by Peyton Wayment. Kollath's time also reached an NCAA 'B' standard for the 1,650 yard freestyle.
In addition to Kollath's outstanding times, several other performances in the pool were notable.
  • Just behind Kollath in fourth place for the 1,650 freestyle was Maggie Clemens, who also reached a 'B' cut with a time of 17:05.68.
  • In the preliminaries of the 500 freestyle, Viviana Perez clocked a time of 5:01.99, a 'B' cut.
  • Winning the 100 yard butterfly was Tehani Kong, clocking 55.24 seconds.
  • With a 'B' cut and a first place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke was Rae Ann Dressel (1:03.76).
  • Kylie Beaudet finished third in the 200 yard individual medley (2:05.17). Beaudet also finished third in the 400 IM (4:26.70) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:21.24).
  • Alexia Fajardo placed second in the 200 yard butterfly (2:06.03).
Among the relay performances, several Pioneer teams reached medal status.
  • Kong, Lily Caraway, Amaya Rocheleau and Fajardo placed third in the 200 yard freestyle relay (1:34.50).
  • The second place finish in the 200 yard medley relay was from Caraway, Dressel, Kong and Fajardo (1:43.82).
With the 2025 fall season concluding, only three more meets in the 2025-26 regular season remain for East Bay. The first of the three takes place on Monday, January 5, 2026 - a double-dual meet with San Diego State and Pepperdine. The meet begins at 10:30 a.m. from Aztec Aquaplex on the campus of SDSU.
