Pioneers Swept in Three Sets by No. 21 CSUSB

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - In CCAA volleyball action on Thursday, Cal State East Bay lost to No. 21 Cal State San Bernardino, 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-18) on Thursday evening at Coussoulis Arena.

MATCH SUMMARY

The match began with an intense first set, where the Pioneers initially held the upper hand, leading by as many as four points. However, the Coyotes' resilience shone through as they fought back to tie the score. In a dramatic turn of events, CSUSB clinched the set with a remarkable five-point run, turning a 21-20 deficit into a 25-21 victory.

Set two saw the Coyotes assert their control, stringing together multiple five-point runs to secure a comfortable 25-16 win.

The third set, while slightly more competitive, was ultimately decided by a crucial 6-0 run from CSUSB midway through, sealing the sweep with a 25-18 victory.
