Headed by Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations, Ali Clark, multiple aspects of Cal State East Bay athletics fall under her scope.
Â
Clark has embraced the change over her years as a Pioneer, having been a student-athlete with the softball program to her latest leadership role with the department.
Â
"We have come a long way and I'm excited to continue strategizing and innovating new ways to better our student-athlete and fan experience."
Â
Other members of the Operations staff play critical roles in the department's success as well.
Â
Abbey Briggs, who joined Cal State East Bay in 2022 as an intern, has since been promoted to Facilities and Events Coordinator. She oversees camps, most gameday staff, internal logistics and event logistics.
Â
Dharav Shah has served as Game Manager for multiple years at East Bay, and oversees specific event assignments and also conducts some business functions. Â
Â
Sports Information Director Mark Alexander manages web content and stats for various Pioneer teams and researches the rich history of Pioneer Athletics. However, Alexander is most proud to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of the student-athlete. He oversees many award recognition processes and advocates strongly for the Pioneers.
Jacob Hugger, who's voice you can hear this coming athletic year during many Pioneer home broadcasts for CCAA on FloSports is a Broadcast Coordinator. Not only is he the play-by-play voice, but he also conducts on-camera interviews of student-athletes and coaches.
Â
Helping Hugger prepare for those broadcasts is Simon Aber, who is tech-savvy and has experience in live sports production that has greatly improved the quality of Pioneer live streamed events in the past several months.
