SEASIDE, Calif. – Cal State East Bay baseball played its final game of the season against Cal State Monterey Bay in Seaside on Saturday after a rain delay. The Otters defeated the Pioneers 2-0 to sweep the four-game series. .
 

GAME SUMMARY

After 7 1/2 scoreless innings, the Otters scored their only two runs of the ballgame in the bottom of the eighth inning off back-to-back RBI doubles.

The Pioneers had runners in scoring position in the sixth and the ninth inning but were unable to score a run. CSUMB finished with a 2-0 shutout. 
 

NOTABLE STATS

• Niko Mollat went 2-for-3 in the regular season finale. 
• The only other hit for the Pioneers was from Matthew Mandeville. 
• In 8.0 innings pitched, Gabe Tanner had five strikeouts.
