SAN FRANCISCO – On Thursday evening, Cal State East Bay volleyball was swept in three sets to San Francisco State, 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-17) in CCAA action.
Despite a .375 attack percentage in the opening set, the Pioneers dropped the opening set, 25-19 to the Gators.
Lexi Pagani and
Kara Green each had four kills in the opening set.
Cal State East Bay had an early 4-3 lead after a kill from
Mia Jordan in set two, but the Gators scored six of the next seven points and didn't look back in the set. SF State went up 2-0 after taking set two, 25-18.
Very quickly in the third set, the Pioneers fell behind 5-0 and did not relinquish the lead. While the Pioneers prolonged the match with three straight kills facing match point, an attack error by CSUEB secured the match for the Gators for a 3-0 sweep taking the third set, 25-17.
- Pagani had a team-high 10 kills on Thursday.
- With a team-high 12 digs for the Pioneers was Green.
- Bella Marvin had a solo block and three block assists.
- For SF State, Tamiya Wilson had a double-double with 20 kills and 14 digs.

SF State: 6-5, 2-1 CCAA
