RICHMOND, Va. - This week, College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its Scholar All-America Teams for Spring 2023. Under the direction of head coach
Shane Pelton, as a team, Cal State East Bay women's swimming had a 3.76 team grade point average.
The 3.76 GPA was tied for the third-highest among women's swimming teams in NCAA Division II.
At a minimum, for a team to be named Scholar All-America, the team GPA must be at least 3.0. Considered into the GPA calculation is the collective semester GPAs of student-athletes on the team who competed in at least one event in the 2022-23 season. The program must also be a current member of CSCAA.
Overall, 714 teams among men's and women's swimming were recognized for the Spring 2023 semester with 80 from NCAA Division II women's swimming & diving.
The Pioneers were also honored for the same award following the Fall 2022 semester.
