Cal State East Bay head coach
Alan Sue shared his thoughts following the team's performance in the season opening tournament. "Our women battled hard but our inability to limit compounding errors was our Achilles heel on this golf course," stated Sue. "This experience was eye opening for our new [student-athletes] and we will learn and improve moving forward. Our focus will shift to next week and preparing for the Golf Club of Dallas."
Arkansas-Fort Smith was the team champion of the tournament and Amie Taguines from UT Permian Basin was the medalist with a first place finish of 2-under-par 140.
Golf Club of Dallas is where the Pioneers will compete next for the fall season, as Dallas Baptist University will host the West Regional Preview, which takes place on October 3-4.
