Cal State East Bay Women's Soccer Announces 2022 Schedule

Coming off a historic 2021 season in which the Cal State East Bay women's soccer team won it's first CCAA Tournament Championship, the Pioneers hope to repeat the feat in 2022. The path to achieving such glory begins at 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 25 with a non-conference home match against Northwest Nazarene at Pioneer Stadium. 

The complete 2022 schedule for the Pioneers is now available. Below are highlights of the upcoming season.
  • The Pioneers open the season with a pair of home matches, including the opener against NNU on August 25 and a matchup against Biola on August 27. 
  • Cal State East Bay is set to play a pair of matches in Honolulu with a matchup against UH Hilo (hosted by Chaminade) on September 1 and a contest against Chaminade two days later. 
  • CCAA conference action gets underway on Friday, September 23 at Cal State San Marcos with a kickoff set for 12:30 p.m. Two days later, the Pioneers play at Cal State San Bernardino. 
  • A rematch of last season's CCAA Championship is set for Friday, September 30 when the Pioneers host Sonoma State at 4:30 p.m. The Seawolves are the only team on Cal State East Bay's regular season schedule ranked in the top-25 in the national preseason poll at No. 20
  • On October 23, the final regular season home match is set for a 2 p.m. kickoff against Cal State L.A.
  • The final regular season match is on the road on October 27 at Stanislaus State. 
  • If the Pioneers qualify for the CCAA Tournament for the second year in a row, the first round takes place on October 30 with the semifinal and final scheduled for November 4 and 6 respectively on the campus of Sonoma State. 
Cal State East Bay finished with an overall record of 11-5-5 in 2021(6-3-2 in the CCAA regular season), winning the CCAA Tournament and qualifying the the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship tournament.
