CHICO, Calif. - The CCAA released its 2022 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll on Tuesday. Among 12 teams, the Cal State East Bay women's soccer team was selected to finish the regular season in fourth place, as voted on by coaches in the conference.
Cal State East Bay was picked fourth with one first place vote. Coming off a historic 2021 season in which the Pioneers won the CCAA Tournament after a 6-3-2 conference record (11-5-5 overall) to place third in the regular season standings.
Leading the 2022 CCAA preseason poll is Sonoma State (nine first place votes), who finished atop the 2021 regular season conference standings, and is currently ranked No. 20 in the United Soccer Coaches National Preseason Poll.
Following Sonoma State is Cal Poly Pomona, Chico State (one first place vote), then the Pioneers.
