STOCKTON, Calif. – The Cal State East Bay women's golf team competed in the third round of the NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Regional on Wednesday at Brookside Golf and Country Club. As a team, the Pioneers finished in eighth place. However, Drishti Karumbaya shot an even par 72 in the third round for a total tournament score of 3-under-par 213. Karumbaya finished in fourth place on the leaderboard as she earned a spot as an individual qualifier in the 2022 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship next week.
Karumbaya's even par round included a pair of birdies and 14 holes at even par. Throughout the three round tournament, Karumbaya had nine brdies and 39 even par holes.
Jasmin Krishna had the low score of the day for the Pioneers as she shot a 3-under-par 69 to finish with a tournament score of 1-under-par 215, tied for eighth on the leaderboard. . The tournament score tied her for eighth with three other golfers.
Other final scores for Cal State East Bay include 14-over-par 230 for
Sachika Singh, 16-over-par 232 for
Arrianna Custodio and 19-over-par 235 for
Caroline Berge.

Dallas Baptist won the West Regional, and individually, Faith Kilgore from Colorado Christian won the individual championship.
Karumbaya will compete next week in the 2022 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship which takes place May 10-14 at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia.
