CHICO, Calif. - The weekly awards for baseball for performances throughout the CCAA during the past week were announced on Monday afternoon. From the Cal State East Bay baseball team, Francisco Pedraza was named CCAA Player of the Week.

Helping the Pioneers sweep a CCAA series against Cal State Dominguez Hills, Pedraza had a tremendous series. The senior outfielder from Alameda went 6-for-17 with a pair of home runs, two doubles, six RBIs and a stolen base. In game two of the series, he went 3-for-4 with all three RBIs for the Pioneers in a 3-2 seven inning victory. Defensively, Pedraza had nine putouts without an error in the series. 

The Pioneers return to action this coming Friday with a series opener at Cal State San Bernardino, with the first pitch set for 6 p.m.
