Overview

Cal State East Bay hits the road for a CCAA series against Sonoma State in Rohnert Park. The Pioneers won their series against San Francisco State 3-1 in Hayward while the Seawolves swept their series 4-0 against Stanislaus State in Turlock two weekends ago.

Savannah Barchus – The sophomore from Keizer, Oregon is second on the team in ERA at 3.27 and has a 4-1 record in 14 appearances.

Sarah Fukushima – The senior from Sacramento, California leads the team in hits with 50 and total bases with 83. In the Pioneers' last series, she became the all-time hits leader in program history.

Last Series

On Friday, the Pioneers won game one of the doubleheader 7-0 over the Gators but lost 11-3 in five innings in game two. The second day of the doubleheader was scheduled for Saturday but was postponed to Monday due to field conditions. On Monday, the Pioneers won game one 3-2 and won game two 2-1.

The Pioneers lead Cal State San Bernardino by .089 for the final playoff spot in the CCAA Softball Championship. No. 6 Cal State San Marcos, (RV) Chico State, Cal State Dominguez Hills and Sonoma State have all clinched playoff spots.
