HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State East Bay softball team completed it's four game CCAA series against San Francisco State in Hayward on Monday after a postponement from Saturday. The Pioneers swept Monday's doubleheader with a pair of tight games winning the first game 3-2 and the second game 2-1. Through Monday, the Pioneers are in the sixth spot in the conference standings, with an overall record of 22-20 and 13-15 in conference.

Game Two – Cal State East Bay 2, San Francisco State 1
The Gators took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning on a Brylynn Vallejos solo home run. The Pioneers tied the game in the bottom of the fifth inning when Venessa Nguyen scoring the run when a double play was made.

The Pioneers went ahead 2-1 and took the lead for good in the bottom of sixth inning on a fielding error that allowed Gabriela Rivera to score the go-ahead run.

Anamaria Beard picked up the win for a team-high of 10 on the season. She pitched a complete game in the circle with one run allowed and three strikeouts. 

The Pioneers will travel to Rohnert Park to take on Sonoma State  on Friday and Saturday in CCAA play. First pitch in game one on Friday is set for 1 p.m.
