VISTA, Calif. – Among a field of 19 teams, the Cal State East Bay women's golf team finished in 12
th place at the Cal State San Marcos Fujikura Invitational on Tuesday.
On a par 72 course at Shadowridge Golf Club, the Pioneers finished with a team score of 632, which included Monday and Tuesday's action.
CSUEB's lowest individual score was from
Jasmin Krishna, who finished tied for 18
th on the leaderboard at 9-over-par 153 (77-76). Of the 36 holes played throughout the tournament, Krishna made even par on 28 of them.
Drishti Karumbaya had a tournament single-round low score among all CSUEB golfers in Monday's first round, carding a 73, to finish the tournament at 12-over-par 156 (73-83). She led the Pioneers in total birdies throughout the tournament with four.
Cal State San Marcos took the team tournament title, with a score of 594. Diana Delgado, from the Cougars, was the individual champion with a finish of 1-under-par 143 (70-73).
The Pioneers return to action on April 1-2 for the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, taking place at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.
