Moore Reaches Season-High in Scoring on Saturday

HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team dropped a CCAA game at Pioneer Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon to Cal Poly Humboldt, 59-54. Scoring a season-high 21 points, leading all CSUEB scorers was Delia Moore.

GAME SUMMARY
 
The Pioneers built a lead to as large as nine points in the opening quarter, including the 1:48 mark on a pair of free throws for a 17-8 lead. Cal State East Bay led 17-10 after the first quarter.
 
In the second quarter, the Pioneers led by as much as 10 points, including 26-16 at the 3:09 mark after a 3-pointer from Grace Campbell. However, the Lumberjacks finished the half on an 11-3 run with nine of the points for Humboldt coming off 3-pointers. The Pioneers led 29-27 at halftime.
 
Less than 20 seconds into the third quarter, Humboldt took its first lead since early in the game on a 3-pointer from Kacie Slover. Ultimately, both teams came out of the third quarter even at 38-38.
 
With 4:10 remaining in the game, Moore made a free throw to give the Pioneers a 50-49 lead. After the free throw, Humboldt scored the next five points, and did not look back down the stretch, as the Lumberjacks won 59-54.

  • Moore scored 21 points after going 6-for-16 from the floor and 7-for-8 in free throws.
