SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team earned a road victory over Cal State San Bernardino, 70-59, Thursday evening at Coussoulis Arena.
It was the 13th-consecutive win for CSUEB (14-1, 9-0 CCAA), which is receiving votes in this week's latest
WBCA Top 25 Poll. It's also the Pioneers' third-straight win over San Bernardino (6-11, 3-8) and fourth victory in the last five meetings against the Coyotes.
Sophomore forward
Mina Tameliau scored a team-high 16 points to go along with seven rebounds and six assists, while senior forward
Faith Turner scored a season-high 15 points off the bench with six rebounds on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor.
Junior guard
Delia Moore added 12 points, junior guard
Grace Campbell had nine points and nine rebounds, and sophomore guard
Zhane Duckett had another stellar all-around game with eight points, five rebounds and five assists.
East Bay led 32-27 at halftime and extended its lead to 16, 62-46, after a Tameliau 3-pointer with eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
CSUEB continues this week's road trip against Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday, Jan. 29, beginning at 1 p.m.
