HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team looks to build off its recent momentum this week, as the Pioneers travel to Southern California for road contests against No. 3-ranked Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m., before taking on Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday, Jan. 29 beginning at 3 p.m.

Both contests will be streamed live on CCAA Network, and live stats will be available.

CSUEB (4-11, 2-7 CCAA) is coming off a home victory over Sonoma State, 85-61, at Pioneer Gym on Jan. 22. Sophomore guard Kaito Williams scored a career-high 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting to go along with five rebounds and five assists in the win, while senior  Justin Vigil scored 12 points, junior guard Jesse Galloway added 11 points with five assists and senior forward Josh Dhatt finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

The Pioneers have the CCAA's fifth-best scoring offense, averaging 73.1 points per game, are second in the conference in assists per game (15.4), second in free-throw shooting (.738) and fourth in 3-point field-goal percentage (.345).

Senior forward Zafir Williams ranks ninth in the CCAA averaging 14.6 points per contest and has the second-best free-throw percentage in the conference (.881). Meanwhile, junior guard Jesse Galloway ranks third in the conference in assists per game (4.3) and has the CCAA's second-best assist-to-turnover ratio (2.8), while sophomore guard Kaito Williams is sixth in 3-point field-goal percentage (.412).
