HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball program was recognized for its success in the classroom as the Pioneers earned the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award. The honor recognizes programs that posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.

In addition, 11 Pioneer student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court, which recognizes junior, senior and graduate student-athletes who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Cal State East Bay's honorees include Andrew Camacho, David Filipovas, Ipreye Egbe, Jaayden Bush, Jalen Foy, Josh Ijeh, Matthew Villanueva, Matthew Williams, Maxwell McCall, Takai Emerson-Hardy and Tyree Campbell.

The NABC recognized more than 400 programs with Team Academic Excellence Awards and over 2,300 student-athletes on the Honors Court for the 2025-26 academic year.
