East Bay Wins 10th Straight in Road Victory Over SF State, 74-51

SAN FRANCISCO — The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team returned to action and earned its 10th-consecutive win in a road victory Saturday afternoon over rival San Francisco State, 75-51.

CSUEB led 13-9 after the first quarter, and extended its advantage to 19 at halftime after a big second quarter made it 41-22. It was the first action for the Pioneers since defeating Cal State San Bernardino on Dec. 18, 2021.

East Bay (11-1, 6-0 CCAA) has now won three straight against SF State (5-8, 3-6), and is 17-2 against the Gators since the 2011-12 season.

Senior guard Madison Schiller scored 15 points with four assists, and sophomore forward Mina Tameliau finished with 15 points and four rebounds.

Junior Delia Moore had 11 points with seven assists, freshman Taylor Linzie added eight points and nine rebounds, and freshman Abigail Cooper recorded eight points and five assists.

The Pioneers return to action at home next week, as they play host to Humboldt State on Thursday, Jan. 20, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
