HAYWARD, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay women's golf team was well represented by
Arrianna Custodio and
Alexis Esguerra at Sonoma State's Spring Invite at the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club.
Playing as individuals, both Custodio and Esguerra scored inside the top 25 overall.
Arrianna Custodio notched her second consecutive top 10 finish tying for 9th with a final score of 151. Custodio shot a 73 on the opening day of the tourney which was the lowest round for a Pioneer so far this season. She shot just five strokes higher on the final day of competition to secure a spot in the top 10.
Alexis Esguerra rounded out the two-day event with a final score of 163, which tied for 24th out of the group. Esguerra shot an 81 on the first day and followed up with an 82 to conclude the tournament.
This was the final tournament of the Pioneer women's regular season schedule. East Bay will now head to the West Regionals May 3-5 at Wildhorse Golf Course in Denton, TX.
