HAYWARD, Calif., -- Cal State women's golf team had a strong showing by its two competitors
Arrianna Custodio and
Alexis Esguerra both finished inside the top 20 overall at the Academy of Art Invitational at the Silverado Resort in Napa.
Both Custodio and Esguerra compiled top 20 finishes individually for the Pioneers in their second tournament of the season.
Junior transfer
Arrianna Custodio notched her highest finish as a Pioneer and her first ever top 10 finish, placing ninth overall with a score of 169. Custodio shot 83 on the opening day of the tourney and followed with an 86 on the final day of competition.
Sophomore
Alexis Esguerra shot a 183 which was good enough for 18th after scoring an 89 in the opening round before shooting an 94 in the final round of the event. For Esguerra, this was her second top 20 finish of the season.
Below are CSUEB's final individual scores. The team now has just one final regular season tournament hosted by Sonoma State at Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club before the NCCA Regional Championships.
